I agree with Henry. Tom's voice is actually very similar to how it was at the end of blink. Tom just sounds different in the studio... but I think that's by choice.

i would assume its because he can't sing like that every night on tour without messin up his voice. face it he's not the best singer.

i honestly dont think he has the capability to sing as he did on self titled anymore. Maybe for short bursts but thats it

After listening to the album a few times i really cannot wait for the movie... i would like to see how the songs go together with the movie, i know that the songs arnt in the movie, but i can guess where each song would be the part of the movie.... i just want the movie now!

this album is a solid listen. doesnt have an abundance of staying power. all it really does is make me want the new blink album even more

Here are my two cents on the album:
This is by far my favourite Angels and Airwaves record. From the first listen, all of the songs seem unique to me and I like the fact that Tom has shifted to more of a 'pop' sound while still retaining the AVA space-sound.
I have never been a HUGE fan of the band but i'm becoming more of one with each album release. The main problem I have with the entire band and their songs is that Tom is hanging onto this topic of love and connectedness for too long, and lyrically the songs suffer because of this. I'll admit, I love the sound of the music but the lyrics are very predictable because it's the same message Tom has been preaching for 5 odd years.
This album is getting me even more excited for new blink-182 material though!
