Your Post-Reunion Super LP

#1
"Borrowed" the idea from carlcockatoo in the general discussion thread ;)

What would your perfect "Super-LP" from their post-reunion releases, Neighborhoods, Dogs Eating Dogs and California, look like?

Rules: No shorter than the 10 songs on Neighborhoods and no longer than the 14 tracks on Neighborhoods Deluxe/California minus joke songs.

My first quick version ended up being 12 songs with 7 from Cali, 2 DED and 3 Neighborhoods:

1) Cynical
2) Dogs Eating Dogs
3) She's Out Of Her Mind
4) Snake Charmer
5) Los Angeles
6) Kaleidoscope
7) No Future
8) Teenage Satellites
9) Boxing Day
10) San Diego
11) Even if She Falls
12) Hey, I'm Sorry (Japan Bonus Track)

Not sure if I should include HISALP somewhere and on Hey, I'm Sorry as a closer but other than that I feel it shows the different aspects of blink that we all love :)

Damn, this is hard. Neighborhoods had so many good tracks, but I still feel California is a more enjoyable album, because of certain songs. Here's my initial list.

1) Cynical
2) Ghost on the Dancefloor
3) She's Out Of Her Mind
4) Snake Charmer
5) Natives
6) Dogs Eating Dogs
7) No Future
8) Kings of the Weekend
9) Fighting the Gravity
10) When I Was Young
11) Wishing Well
12) Los Angeles
13) Heart's All Gone
14) Love is Dangerous

This is a great thread. I wonder if there are any songs that absolutely no one would stick on there haha. The worst of the worst. Could have that as another thread (The 12 most ear-punishingly shit songs post 2009 haha).

Anyway, my top ones sequenced for an album...
1. When I Was Young
2. Natives

I just took the "California" track listing and replaced a few songs. Switched out Bored to Death with Natives (both are number two on each album, so that's perfect), Teenage Satellites (still the only song I can't stand on the album) with Boxing Day. And then made the joke songs on a deluxe version. Even though I fucking LOVE them, I would rather they be full songs, so I removed them out of the main one. So I filled in their absence with M.H., which I still feel would be the perfect closer for a blink album ......

EDIT! I forgot Hey, I'm Sorry. Crap. I would have to rethink the order to get that on there. I would replace that song with "Kings of the Weekend," though ....

1. "Cynical"
2. Natives
3. "She's Out of Her Mind"
4. "Los Angeles"
5. "Sober"
6. "No Future"
7. "Home Is Such a Lonely Place"
8. "Kings of the Weekend"
9. "Boxing Day"
10. "Left Alone"
11. "Rabbit Hole"
12. "San Diego"
13. "The Only Thing That Matters"
14. "California"
15. M.H. 4.18.12

Deluxe
16. Built This Pool
17. Brohemian Rhapsody
I was hanging on by a little thread.

I screamed "I can see all."
The ground broke from the sound.

I had 15 songs that I had to have on the record, but I had to cut Disaster because it fit nowhere unfortunately. It's just so damn AVAy for it's own good.
I think this order also flows well, and it begins and ends in a realistic way that you'd expect an album to act, but I also didn't want to open or close with an existing opener or closer.

1. Up All Night
2. Heart's All Gone
3. Left Alone
4. Sober
5. Home is Such a Lonely Place
6. Cynical
7. Dogs Eating Dogs
8. After Midnight
9. She's Out of Her Mind
10. Bored to Death
11. Boxing Day
12. San Diego
13. The Only Thing That Matters
14. Fighting the Gravity [North Korea Exclusive]

I wanted Fighting the Gravity in the album proper but it just doesn't fit anywhere. I like this order because it follows a logical feel. It starts hard hitting, then slows down in general around 5-6 and then again around 11-12 and then ends strong, just like an album could do.

01. Cynical
02. Dogs Eating Dogs
03. Natives
04. Hearts All Gone Interlude
05. Hearts All Gone
06. When I Was Young
07, Bored to Death
08. Los Angeles
09. The Only Thing That Matters
10. Wishing Well
11. Home is Such a Lonely Place

I'd love for it to transition a little better from song to song. So that it would flow better as one record. Short and sweet, only 10 songs.
