May US Tour dates Cancelled. Euro dates unaffected.

From Blink-182s Facebook: "The members of blink-182 have announced today the cancelation of all their May 2012 tour dates due to a medical emergency. Blink-182’s drummer, Travis Barker, requires an urgent tonsillectomy with a recovery period expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates. The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancelations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support. The May 10th and 11th concerts at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK have been rescheduled for September 13 and 14, 2012. Re-Starting the Blink Machine

It has been a quiet few months in the blink camp with the record being released, tours finishing and other projects being worked on, but yesterday saw the beginning of the blink-182 machine starting up again ahead of summer tours which include a 20th Anniversary tour accross the US, Bamboozle, two trips to UK, two nights at the O2 in London and dates all over Europe. Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge will take time out from the band’s intensive tour preparations to visit the House of Blues San Diego this Saturday as tickets for their highly anticipated amphitheatre show go on sale.  A limited number of pit tickets, plus $20 lawn tickets to the September 16th Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre show will be available while supplies last beginning at noon.

The $20 lawn tickets have NO charge for parking, ticketing fees, no tax, no nothing!  There is a four ticket limit per customer.  Cash only.

Yesterday in a radio interview with Chicago’s Q101 Tom DeLonge described the new song that blink-182 hopes to release before their summer tour:

“The song that we’re gonna release before the tour, it’s almost like blending Quicksand, Rush, and Pink Floyd into the same song and that sounds crazy but it’s done with a total accessible melodic structure that you would expect from blink-182.
