blink-182 big announcement November 6th?!

blink-182 are making a 'very special announcement' on Sunday November 6th, from 7pm. As this is the BBC, this probably means 7pm UK time, so for you USA fans thats 2pm EST or 11am PST. Now there's a very high probability that the announcement is the 'official' unveiling of the European tour. There has already been a few dates semi-announced for this, including Download Festival in France, which suggests they'll also be performing at the UK Download festival as well. It being the European tour would also make sense because they're announcing it on UK radio, and the image above (and posted in magazines) randomly states '2017',

Drowned in Sound: Tom DeLonge Interview

Blink-182 shattered the hearts of millions of teenagers (and wannabe teenagers) across the globe when they very publicly fell apart in 2005. To those ever critical of their dick-joke-strewn paeans to wide-eyed romance and youthful angst, this was a god-send, but to their fans, who had practically grown up with Mark, Tom and Travis, seeing the good times go sour was pretty painful to watch.

Sure enough the three of them took it upon themselves to keep going in some sense and split off, indulging in several different projects, most notably Tom Delonge’s high-concept prog venture Angels and Airwaves and Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker’s straight up Blink-goes-dance project, Plus 44. Whatever you thought of either, the general consensus was that it wasn’t the same, and for the purists, they just didn’t cut it.

Angels & Airwaves’ LOVE Pt II Pushed Back to Fall

Posted on in AVA, Tom DeLonge | 5 Comments

Angels & Airwaves‘ frontman Tom Delonge has revealed that the band’s double album and feature film, LOVE II, has been pushed back to fall of this year. LOVE II was originally set to see a release on Valentine’s day this year. Delonge made the announcement in a video that can be watched below. He speaks on the situation around the 8 minutes and 40 seconds mark.

Now, normally we don’t post too much Angels & Airwaves news here at this site, but could this possibly be due to blink-182 working on their new album and having to tour in the summer?
