HMNIM: Highfield Festival

From himynameismark.com:

Yesterday we played the Highfield Festival here in Germany.  As is typical at these summer festivals, the event is held in a large field.  The day before we got there it had rained and flooded, forcing a near-cancellation of the entire show on our day.  But the show must go on, and the rain stopped, leaving a huge field of mud.  One bus got stuck.  A big-rig truck got stuck.  Then yesterday we arrived to sunny skies and mud.  Until showtime.  About an hour before we took the stage, a huge storm moved in with rain, wind, and lightning.  The band before us had to stop for a while for those in charge to assess the situation.  Rain, lightning, wind, lights, electricity, generators, sound gear, and a large metal-framed stage can be an uncooperative combination.  But everyone stuck around, the storm passed, and we had a super fun show.  Thanks to everyone who stayed through the rain and wind.  I hope you had as much fun as we did. Now a day off in Hamburg.  After four shows in a row in large dirty fields, our crew is enjoying a well-desereved break before continuing onwards… Here are some photos from yesterday, BEFORE the storm moved in.
